The best thing about email subscribe lists these days is that they can keep pestering you even after you’ve asked them to stop.
Here’s the bottom of this email sent from eBay on December 15th, which says “Please note that it may take up to 10 days to process your request.”  No.  That is simply not true.  If I had to mail in a card that said stop sending me junk mail, THAT would take a few days or weeks.  But I guarantee there is not a single human being who has to click through all the unsubscribe requests.  It is INSTANT AND AUTOMATIC!  They are purposefully delaying my unsubscription in order to send me more emails that I will delete without reading.
eBay is even more clever than most though, because it turns out that if you want to unsubscribe from ALL eBay emails, you have to go into your account and uncheck four different boxes, each for a different type of email message!
Of course, I received a new eBay promotional email this morning.
