Here’s something that really irks me. Here is a large corporation using its sway and power to influence an election by showing the pseudo-documentary-but-ridiculously-biased (see Farenheit 9/11 or anything Michael Moore has ever made) 2016: Obama’s America for free to its customers in battleground states like Ohio.
However, what these people are doing is against the Equal Time rule even if Video-On-Demand didn’t exist when the law was written.
Let’s say you wanted to look up information on the internet about a political candidate, but your Internet Service Provider happened to really dislike said candidate and therefore only showed you results that were biased against that candidate. That’s the kind of bullshit this leads to. The FCC has about as much power as a wet noodle though, and seem almost incapable of understanding Net Neutrality. So don’t hold your breath on a big examination of the founding fathers’ intentions with regard to Video-On-Demand. (Franklin would have loved it, I’m sure).
Also, you should definitely ALWAYS vote, but can I just say that anyone suggesting this election will CHANGE EVERYTHING (like 2016:Obama’s America) is an idiot? We’ve somehow managed to keep this country going for over 200 years even when half of the country supports someone you don’t like.
